Now the headstock and the bridge.

With the body and bridge done, Vince turns to the headstock and bridge. These are in Bolivian (not Brazilian) rosewood.


30. Vince now starts work on the Bolivian bridge.

The first bridge looks nice, but it's a bit too narrow and has to be discarded.

33. Vince has completed Jerry Jeff's design for the star inlay on the headstock, and has the second bridge cut out.

The headstock is starting to look pretty with the antique Waverlys in place. They are absolutely the Rolls Royce  in machine head design.

Then, as the captain says, "on to the bridge"!!


35. Lacquer is scraped from top in the area of the bridge for gluing.
